Dear 8*Count Dance Families,
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from 8*Count Dance. Reflecting on the journey that led me to this moment fills me with immense gratitude and pride. From humble beginnings in 2001 to the vibrant community we have become today, it has been a privilege to witness the growth and talent of each and every one of our dancers.
As I take this step towards a new chapter in my life, I am filled with a sense of fulfillment knowing that I have achieved the goals I set out for myself when I first started this venture. The joy of sharing the gift of dance with families, providing scholarships to those in need, and creating a positive impact in the world of dance will always hold a special place in my heart.
With my children now grown, I feel the time is right to pass the baton and embrace the role of the dance auntie. I look forward to spoiling my grand pup, cat, and bearded dragon, and cherishing precious moments with my husband, Keith.
While my journey with 8*Count Dance may be coming to an end, my passion for dance and community engagement continues to thrive. I am excited to embark on a new adventure as the Director of Children, Youth & Family Ministry at Song of Life Church in Queen Creek.
To Ms. Anna, Coach Hailey, Ms. Sophie, and Ms. Katie, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your dedication and support. I have full confidence in the bright future that lies ahead for 8*Count Dance under your leadership with Anna Compton.
As I bid farewell to my role as Owner/Teacher of 8*Count Dance on June 8, 2024, I want to assure you that this is not goodbye. I will always be here to offer my support and encouragement from the sidelines.
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your dance journey. May the spirit of dance continue to inspire and uplift each and every one of you.

Dear 8*Count Dance Families,
I am elated to share with you the exciting news that I, Anna Compton, am stepping into the role of owner here at 8*Count Dance! It is with immense joy and gratitude that I embark on this new journey, and I am deeply honored to continue serving you in this capacity.
Having been a part of the 8*Count Dance family as a teacher, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact dance has on all of our lives. It is with this passion and dedication that I pledge to uphold the legacy of excellence that our studio is renowned for, while also bringing fresh perspectives and innovations to enrich our dance community.
I would be remiss if I didn’t take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Andrea. Her vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment have been the guiding lights of our studio for many years. Ms. Andrea gave me my first opportunity as a dance educator, and I would not be the teacher and person I am today without her. I am immensely grateful for her guidance and trust, which have paved the way for this transition. I am inspired by her legacy and will strive to honor it in everything we do.
As we move forward, my commitment to providing exceptional dance education and a nurturing and supportive environment remains unwavering. I am dedicated to offering a diverse range of classes and programs tailored to the needs and aspirations of every dancer, from our youngest beginners to our seasoned competitors.
In the coming months, you can expect to see exciting updates and improvements to our studio, curriculum, and events. Together, we will create an inclusive space where every dancer feels valued, inspired, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
I recognize that the strength of our studio lies in our community, and I am incredibly grateful for your continued support and trust. Your passion for dance fuels our collective journey, and I am here to listen, learn, and grow alongside you.
